Hmm some of the roles, like the villager roles don’t require an age. So if you write into your application that there is no age but you’re applying for one of those roles, I’ll know it’s your OC, and keep it in mind.
The villagers can be children or adults it doesn’t matter <3 So you’ll be okay there. But of course you can always take your time to think about a canon age for your OC, after all the applications will be open until the end of december <3

There will be no voice acting in the Visual novel except for the intro. So no worries there. We’re looking forward to meeting your OC.

Two questions- What age so you consider an adult because I have a very rich 23 year old, also, where is the submission button?
Adult Characters are all Characters above the age of 18. Though we’re making an exception for the characters that need to be of drinking age. That will be 21. But either way 23 is absolutely old enough. <3

SATTK is recruiting OCs
The world of mobius is a big one. And your adventures will take you to the far corners of the world, undoubtedly meeting many people.
A world that big needs it’s denizens.
Does your OC live on Mobius? Then we want to see them!
Here is a list of roles to fill. If your OC happens to fit one or several of them, then feel free to read the rules beneath the cut and apply. <3
We’re casting:
- 10 x female villager (age does not matter)
- 10 x male villager (age does not matter)
- 3 x Bar visitor (must be of legal drinking age)
- 2 x Eggman Staff
- 2 x Rich folks (any gender, but must be adults)
- 3 x Butler/Maids (any gender, but must be adults)
- 1 x Skilled fighter (any gender, but must be an adult)
- 1 x Cleric (female)
So in total we’re casting 32 OCs to fill our world with.

Of course they are! You can only play as the Protagonist. The Eggman Scientist. But there is a whole lot other major characters that you will encounter and without them… I don’t think your Protagonist could save the world, yes. You will in fact be helping THEM. And not the other way around.
In total there are 13 main characters. Plus the Protagonist. Plus a whole bunch of important side characters who also play their respective important parts in the story.

Now, I just want this to be known. Please for the love of all that is holy, make sure that choices matter. The last time the sonic franchise and karmic gameplay came together it end well. <I am plays in the background>
I fully understand your concern. And you’re right. Making choices count is not always as easy as it sounds. But I’m glad you brought it up and I want to be as honest as I can without being spoilery.
I feel like with Sonic and the True King, I found a decent middle ground between linear gameplay and important choices. The game is split into five parts:
The introduction
The first act
The transition
The second act
The endings
Up until the second act you can encounter dead ends (literally). Your only real options are to fail or to succeed. Though choices will matter more during fights. But I’m making a post explaining the fighting system later so I don’t want to take that away now <3
But there is also a third value that’s being counted into play from the very beginning. And that’s the Trust meter. Since you’re an Eggman scientist the heroes don’t initially trust you and all your choices matter in so far that you can gain or lose trust up until the transition part of the game. However well you did will then have a significant effect on what happens in act 2. Failing to do certain things in act 1 will permanently lock you out of doing certain things in act 2. And in the second act your choices matter a whole lot more.
So far I have three main endings written, and 6 minor ones. But I will add more if I can think of some.
Either way the point is, the game is pretty linear up until half point. And then things begin to change noticably based on how well you did in act 1 and on the choices you make in act 2.
The Legend of the Sky Amulet
Once
upon a time, several millennia ago, there was a rich and prosperous
empire, ruling over the entire middle east of Mobius. And at its center
stood the proud city of Babylon.
But the people of Babylon
were arrogant, and cared about nothing but their own gain. Their gods
watched them fall deeper and deeper into an abyss of vanity and greed
until one day they decided it was enough. Babylon had become a plague
upon the planet and its people had lost all respect for the gods and
their rules.
So the gods sent divine punishment upon the babylonian empire, in form of a great darkness. The king, prayed and begged the gods for mercy, not for himself but for his people. And one god, the god of the sky, was moved by his prayer.
To grant the
King the power to seal away the darkness he crafted gems out of all that
was good in him and combined them into an amulet. He handed the King
them Amulet and told him to use it to face the darkness at its origin.
And the King set out to do the god’s bidding.
To save his
people, but not himself, the King used the amulet, and his own life, to
seal the darkness away. No one can tell of the battle itself, as the
king went alone. And once the light returned to the land. Only the empty
Sky Amulet was left on the battlefield.
All six gems were scattered around it, dull and used. So the King’s trusted friends split the gems amongst each other to hide them away in all corners of the world to keep them safe.
And now that the world of Mobius is once again being threatened by dark forces, the merciful god’s Amulet makes a return.
There is just one problem!
Over all these years the records on where the gems, that power the amulet, are hidden have been lost. It is up to you to recover every last one of them. But of course, you’re not alone.

You’ll have to be patient until next monday until you get more information on which OCs there will be and such.
BUT! I can tell you that they will be playing minor roles in the VN and you will be able to talk to them. Some will even be quest givers. It’s important to me to make the world of my visual novel as lively as possible. OCs may be appearing in background art or CG art as well as having character sprites that you’ll be able to talk to.
I could have probably filled the world with canon characters only, but I’ve always been a huge fan of everyone’s amazing OCs and I want to give them a stage if I can. Though of course we can also not put ALL the OCs into the game, which is sad. We’ll be picking the ones that suit the available roles best.
Again, more information on that will be posted on Monday >W< So stay tuned!

There’s a good chance, yes. I’m putting a lot of the characters into the game. It’s a big world to fill. And while I decided not to touch Archie canon or the IDW canon, for simplicity’s sake, there’s still a bunch of cool characters I can use in the game.
Like Mighty and Ray, Wave and Storm, Cream, Cheese and Omega, Blaze, Rouge and Amy, so I don’t see why Vector, Espio and Charmy shouldn’t be in it <3 Since I’m still working on the art for the main characters I haven’t even started the minor characters yet. So it’s all open, still.
I saw someone mention Infinite in the tags to the Protagonist post… so I’m considering that as well if I can fit him into the world in a logical way. We shall see. Oh and of course there is also going to be OCs <3 But you’ll learn more about that next monday!
