You can make fanart of Sargon. You can make fanart of the protagonist and give them a face. You can make fanart of anything really. *W* just make sure to tag us in it so we can reblog it!!!!

If I -had- to chose probably the turkey I’m not much into ham personally. But that aside a traditional christmas dinner in my family looks kind of like this:

Oh the -demo- takes place in Babylon >;3
The full game will start you outin green hill zone and from there on your quest is going to take you into different corners of mobius in order to retrieve the sky shards and to complete the amulet. What happens after that is a secret. But you’ll get to travel around quite a bit.

They look for it on purpose. Since the threat the heroes face has a Babylonian origin they seek out Jet the Hawk to ask for help/guidance/information anything that could help them figure out what they’re up against. And Jet already posesses the amulet it’s sort of an heirloom ;3

And the game starts after infinite was defeated yes. Just not… immediately after. People are rebuilding their lives and such. So it’s at least several months after the war ended.

OH MY GOD FINALLY SOMEONE ASKED

I’ve been wondering when people would get curious what our mascot is all about. UwU

This little guy:

His name is Sargon-chan and yes he’s in the game (without the -chan at least). Though actually meeting him in the game may be a bit suprising as he looks quite a bit different. I told a friend of mine about his role in the game and they drew this beautifully fitting fanart:

What do you guys think is more fun?

Everyone can die in Sattk. That means the main cast. The protagonist. The OCs. Random NPCs. Everyone.

HOWEVER. The types of death are different. There is not going to be ‘on camera’ deaths for the OCs that you guys have submitted to us. The only way these characters can die is if you (the player) get one of the Apocalyptic endings.  Aka. an ending that implies that all life on mobius comes to an end.

The protagonist can die in Visual novel typical Game over sequences.

And then there are some character deaths that are plot important and cannot be avoided.

I would like to say at this point though that Sattk is NOT going to be a gorey game. There is going to be small amounts of blood and other than that only cuts and bruises.

But yes back to the original question. Technically the submitted ocs can die, yes, but it won’t be shown as such UwU

Both actually! You’re gonna see green hill zone. Station square and a bunch of other familiar places!!! But of course there is also gonna be new ones <3

I’m from a place that’s roughly 13 hours of flight from where Babylon used to be once upon a time. And I think that’s really sad. On the plus side where I am I have five cute cats so there’s that. And my favourite pizza is Tuna pizza UwU!!!

I might be mistaken but I don’t think either of these characters have appeared in games before right? So no there are no plans to include their parents UwU

The game will be strictly sfw and we’re not planning for any adult mods. Or any mods at all at the moment.

Despite a few slots such as the skilled fighter and the bar visitors all slots are still changable. While we’ve gotten more than enough submissions to fill all the roles the submissions are open until the end of this month so we’re keeping the roles open just in case.

We’ve even -created- new roles for ocs that we liked a lot or that we could see in a certain spot <3 So please don’t hesitate to submit your OC to us <3

Hmm that’s a much harder to answer. I like all sonic games for one reason or another. I’m just happy there is so much variety so everyone finds a game that meets their taste OwO Personally I think gameplay wise the old 2d games are my least favourite just because they’re so hard for me to play. That doesn’t make them bad I’m just bad at playing them.

Thankfully with my own game I have people to test it FOR me XD And also nice thing about visual novels is they’re quite slow paced even if I put in timed choices during battles UwU

Wisps, maybe. I don’t really have a story spot that they have importance too but Wispons aka. the weaponized wisps from Sonic Forces might be a thing.

I’ve thought about it recently actually. I’d love to make a comic. Not of the whole game but of certain parts of the story. Like prequel-y stuff? TBH though I might not have the time. But the thought is there.

XD Well. I’ve gotta say… I probably have a bit of an unpopular opinion on that front. I quite enjoy the riders games but only because Jet is in them, I’m not very good at racing games I’m afraid ;w;.
My actual FAVOURITE is Sonic Forces. Mostly because of the music and the character creator but I also had a lot of fun with the levels. I’ll admit the story is lacking here and there. But overall I still had so much fun with it I can’t ignore it. My second favourite would be Sonic Unleashed <3 Cuz the werehog is adorable and I love him. XD

I haven’t actually played sonic and the black knight and sonic and the secret rings myself yet I’ve only seen play throughs and the cutscenes as movies. But I wanna play those soon <3

And when it comes to classic sonic games I have no favourites because… I’m just really really bad at platforming games UoU So they’re not really for me even if I do love the aesthetic.

I’ve been thinking about dark sonic too. The thing with dark sonic is that it wasn’t just sonic being angry about his friends getting hurt. He was also being corrupted by corrupt chaos energy. And since we don’t touch too much onto the chaos energy subject in Sattk the chances for dark sonic are relatively low. I’m not gonna rule it out jsut yet though, because I love the concept and if I can fit it into the logic and flow of the game I most certainly will.

My thoughts on the sonic the hedgehog movie. Hm. I don’t really have an opinion yet. All we’ve seen is a poster and no matter if I like sonic’s new design or not I’m definitely seeing the movie either way. Chances are I’ll like the movie just because I’m an easy to please person. So I’ll tell you my opinion on the movie after it came out.

Though I’m of the opinion that the more this movie flops, the more Sattk will shine :3 So either way it’s a win for me personally.

Hmm there are no side quests in Act 1. There ARE side quests planned in Act 2 however.
BUT one of the main quests in Act 1 actually involves an OC very heavily UwU The person who’s OC is the quest giver there already knows, though because they have to help me write their dialogue.
Aside from that one OC several other OCs can be met during the quests.

There might be more coming later aside from the main quests but as of right now I think it’s better to get the main story down and see how long the game will be in the end.

My main problem with adding side quests is that, since it’s a visual novel type game, people will want to replay the game to unlock different endings. So the game can’t be too long. And also not too short. It’s a balancing act. But if by the end of it all I see that side quests in Act 1 have a place, I will add them uwu

Oh and to answer the other question, no I hadn’t heard of Sonicsong182 yet but I looked them up now :3 Why do you ask? OwO Their stuff does look neat tho in case you just wanted an opinion UwU

Maria existed as a person in the sattk canon, yes but she’s a person of the past and died. I don’t know if she will be mentioned or not. She might be. She won’t make an actual appearance though.
Vanilla, Cream and Cheese -might- appear if I need more characters but at the moment they’re not planned. (but then NPCs are always needed so there’s a decent chance they might appear UwU)
Cosmo is not gonna appear.

Aaand no we don’t have a youtube channel but we might make one in the future to host whatever animated content we have such as a trailer and our intro. So youtube content might be a thing later on yes.

I have too many favourite characters xD Though technically I think my fav would be Jet the Hawk considering this whole visual novel was inspired by me and a friend of mine talking about how the games never properly picked up on his awesome story and how archie really badly misportrayed his character. So we wanted to make a game that touches more upon the Babylon plot and makes Jet, not a villain, but a rival of sonic’s, a greedy thief, but with his honor and at least most of his morals intact.

To answer the second question, yes I’m the artist of the game so I draw pretty much everything myself UwU The hardest to draw are definitely Knuckles…and for some reason Tails is sometimes hard to draw?
To finish a full ref sheet it takes me about 2 days for the main characters. The Side characters I can get done in 1 day as they have fewer different expressions. In all honesty I can’t wait to get to the OCs. I’m drawing the ones for the Demo in january and I’m just so excited.

Some of them will go into super form. Not the protagonist though. The chaos emeralds exist in sattk, they’re just entirely secondary and the plot doesn’t focus on FINDING them <3 they’re just a thing that’s around.

Sonia and Manic are also not gonna be in the game no. As much as I love them UwU.

Hmm the second question is hard to answer. But for simplicity’s sake I’ll say we have one big bad villain. In reality it’s a lot more complicated than that. It’s important to keep an open mind and heart because not everything is always as it seems. I mean technically the protagonist has the potential to be a villain. After all you work for eggman in the game. ;3

Nope, sorry. Personally I’m a big fan of Scourge so I find this a bit sad, but we’ve come to the conclusion that including the archie verse would make the story unnecessarily complicated. Though of course I know Sally wasn’t JUST in the archie comics. But we’re basically limiting ourselves to the games canon.

(The inofficial reason is that our artist (me) has absolutely no self control and if we say “ok” to including archie canon this game will never be finished cuz our artist is gonna spend 84 years just drawing all the cool characters’ expression sheets. And that’s just not practical. Nobody wants to wait for a game that long)

Honestly I hadn’t thought about it. I might make one after the Demo is out. It sounds like a fun idea though!

The whole Sonic franchise deals a lot with beings from outter space. Take the Wisps, Seedrians and Black arms. Just like them according to Sonic canon the early ancestors of the Babylon Rogues came from space. And because that’s also how the actual real world Babylonians described their own gods, we’re picking that part of lore up >W<

So technically, saying that the ancient Babylonians are canon, also makes all the other alien races like seedrians or black arms canon. BUT. I don’t think we’re going to go too deep into other alien races in the game UwU

If people are interested in knowing I might make a post in the future about the sattk babylonian religion though, explaining some more about the ‘gods’.

YES absolutely. There’s gonna be a Theme song for the game with vocals yes! In general there’s gonna be some more custom music to be shared soon enough and I already know it’s gonna be fantastic!

No surprise there, though. Everything Cleffy makes is fantastic!

I assume this is about submitting OCs to the game? OwO In that case you can always commission an artist to draw your OC or finish one of the half finished drawings UwU There’s even some artists on tumblr who take requests!~

We do unfortunately need a picture reference though so we don’t make any mistakes in the design as it can’t be changed later. And of course we’d want your OC to look the way you imagined them in the game.

But yes, as I said there are options to get someone else to draw your oc.

Wow this means a lot ;w; Thank you so much for your curiosity and support. We’re still in a phase where we’re supre hyped to get this show on the road but being really small team with a HUGE project we have no illusions about burn out.

Especially if life in general gets in the way, like our normal day-time jobs and such. It can and will be tiring along the way. But we’ll do our very best to make sure we are consistently productive while also taking enough breaks to prevent ourselves from burning out.

That goes for you as well. Though now I’m terribly curious what project you’re working on. XD Why must you be on anon. So I can’t love and support you back.

But yes once all the chracter references are out in the open (knuckles is the last one this friday) We’ll be taking a break from consistent dev blog updates for a few weeks so we can crunch down on the Demo and do the whole mandatory christmas with our families thing. (though we’ll still be here to answer questions of course). I’ll have to make a proper announcement for that next monday with proper dates and all. But yes we’re doing our best to keep on top of everything without dying XD
